Toronto, ON: The ACFE-GTA Chapter was a Silver Sponsor for the 2024 York Regional Police Anti-Money Laundering Symposium on October 23 and 24, 2024 in Aurora, Ontario. Money Laundering is "a fraud in progress" and constitutes a significant threat to world economies and the security of nations.

The goal of the Second Annual GTA Anti-Money Laundering Symposium was to bring together the AML community (including financial institutions; fin-techs; money services businesses; law enforcement agencies; lottery, casino and gaming organizations; government regulators and other government agencies and professional associations) to learn about the latest issues and share best practices on how to identify, track and mitigate money laundering and other financial crimes, and most importantly, to network. The Symposium featured two days of presentations and an evening networking reception.
