This presentation will cover the following issues in regards to Workman’s Safety and Insurance Board fraud: Under what authority can surveillance be conducted, PIPEDA and any complications, Outlining the Board’s requirements, Organized crime who are the players, The importance of the Letter of Authenticity and any other areas the participants would like to discuss.

The Presenter
Brian Sartorelli is the founder of Investigative Risk Management Inc., one of Ontario’s leading and highly respected investigative companies and has enjoyed an extensive and full career providing consultative and advisory risk management and investigative services to Fortune 500 companies, nationally and internationally. Additionally, Brian enjoyed a career in law enforcement with the Department of National Defence wherein he specialized in drug enforcement, undercover operations, major crime and criminal investigations.

Brian’s investigative and risk management experience is vast. He is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services and is frequently called upon for advice. He has managed major investigations including billion dollar matters and many multi-million dollar civil litigations for both the legal and insurance industries. He has expertise related to: WSIB claims, insurance claims; corporate intelligence; corporate risk management; human resource strategies; criminal and civil litigation; environmental investigations; undercover operations; counter measures; and other investigative services designed to protect the corporate environment.

Brian’s involvement and standing in the investigative and risk management community is prestigious. He is currently the President of the Council of Private Investigators of Ontario (CIPO), Former Director of Membership of the Canadian Association of Special Investigation Units (CASIU), Chair of the Vendors Committee CAISU, Chair of the Bachelor of Human Services – Police Studies Degree Program at Georgian College, former Chair of the Insurance Institute of Ontario, Georgian Bay Chapter, former Director of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association (OIAA) – Georgian Bay Chapter, former Director of the London Claims Association and is also a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Assoc.
